ESN Salerno was founded by a group of friends, with the aim of linking the reality of Salerno to the international sign of volunteering, training and entertainment.
In 2009 it joined officially the network of ESN Italy.

On a totally free of charge, voluntary basis, ESN Salerno is committed to the promotion of many activities to facilitate and improve the integration of Erasmus students through:

  • the reception of incoming Erasmus at their arrival in Italy,
  • the search for an accommodation with the Housing project
  • exploratory visits to each faculty, and tour of the city
  • the discovery of the territory beyond the boundaries of Salerno, thanks to organized trips to other Italian cities and various meetings on the enhancement of the environment,
  • dinners and theme parties, organized to facilitate meetings between local students and Erasmus students,
  • helping Erasmus students with their learning of italian through language tandems, based on the principle of mutual aid, and thanks to the film club;
  • the promotion of social events as the blood donation, and the support of several campaigns, like the one against Aids.

 

Packing your things and jumping into a new experience abroad is all about travelling, culture and friends and we want you to enjoy your mobility at its fullest from the very beginning to its end.

That's why we plan a full Welcome Week to walk you through your first steps in your host city, exploring Salerno's streets and tasting its rich cuisine. But what about the rest of the year?

  • Meeting up for language tandems since a lovely chat is the easiest way to get to know new buddies while learning about other cultures through language exchange, board games and quizzes
  • Setting cineforums to enjoy movies together and discuss social injustice topics in an active and entertaining way; all movies are in Italian with English subtitles, to help you learning the language. 
  • Activities aimed at raising environmental sustainability awareness and social inclusion to take care of and integrate into the community and grow as better European citizens
  • Getting together to play sports, since you really need to unwind and channel your energies into physical activities sometimes... maybe challenging international students from other cities at the NEG!
  • Ever heard about ICE? EN? NSB? We'll go to trips and parties to discover more about Sicilian and Italian nature, culture and cuisine and collect memories you'll keep with you forever!
